Admission Process

Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology conducts their own admission test known as KIITEE to admit students in various branches. So you have to appear in KIITEE to take admission at KIIT. Depending on your KIITEE Rank you can choose your stream.

Cutoff Rank -

So to get CSE through KIITEE you should have rank with-in 3500. This may vary from year to year, but this will never cross 3500. So you can set 3000 as your target to get CSE. And for other branches related to CSE i.e. IT, CSSE, CSCE the cutoff rank varies.
As CSE has very high demand so everybody knows the cutoff of CSE. Now within those 3500 students, there are some students who take a different branch according to their choice. After CSE, ETC is the second most popular branch. To get ETC you should have rank with-in 4500. So these are some brief figure of the cutoff rank. Except for these two streams, others are unpredictable. It changes every year.

Placement

Everybody loves CSE for its placement and opportunity. There are very less amount of students who really love computer science.
Placement of computer science branch is very good. Not only at KIIT, this is the fact of almost all engineering colleges. So no need to worry about placement. If you have some skills, through which you can do something for your recruiters, then they will definitely select you.
Here are some companies who visit KIIT for the campus placement - Directi, Deloitte, Amazon, Dell, SAP, Ericsson, Wipro, Accenture, Cognizant and many more. You can find more details about the placement status here.
And if you want to do higher studies then also KIIT can be a great place for you. You can prepare for GATE through which you can take admission at various IITs for M.Tech or you can also go for MS. KIIT has tied up with some foreign institute for students who want to go abroad for higher studies.
